*By the way, the area is called Scugog, not Lake Scugog. Lake Scugog is simply a lake in the Scugog area. But the township of Scugog encompasses a much larger area, including Scugog Island, Porty Perry, and many other notable areas. And I do mean notable too. If you've never been to Port Perry, you may have still seen it in a number of various films and TV shows, Hollywood really likes the picturesque area.
Time for another episode of There's No Time Like the Past! Try and read that lat sentence in your head with a lot of reverb surrounding an overly heroic announcer (because that's how I wrote it)
This particular episode was a lot of fun for me to research. I really like history, especially history that I feel a real closeness too. And this one, I felt close to on multiple levels. (1) As a Canadian, and (2) as a local to the Scugog*-area. But there is a third closeness I feel to the subject matter in this video. See if you can guess in the comments below after watching, what this third thing is, I'll let you know soon enough :)
Hint for what the third thing I felt close to in this video: the colour of my hair relates to it.
