When we 4 siblings were younger and on bike rides together, we would stop along the way at a certain tree, the one JJ and Tamara recently referred to as the “story tree”. The reason for this name was because JJ or I would make up a story for our other siblings on the spot, while stopping at that tree for a rest from cycling.
This was something I had entirely forgotten about until walking by it today with Tamara and she jogged my memory with that story.
It's interesting what your siblings remember about you. It's interesting to know when people are watching and what memories stick in their minds. Evidently the story tree didn't stick in my mind, but it did for JJ and Tamara at least. Lesson #1: People are always watching, be careful what you do and say, but never be paranoid about it.
Lesson #2: Is more of just something I am learning about myself. I am a story teller for Jesus. At least in this season of my life He is using me that way. Look at what I do: I write audio dramas and blogs. And anyone who's known me closely has heard me make analogies from made up scenarios or real life experience. Even this blog post started with a story (about walking with Tamara). I always comes back to a story.
Telling stories. I like that.
Anyway, I hope you're having a good weekend! Why not tell me all about it in the comments below? And while you're at it, do you have your own cool memories with your siblings? Did/do your siblings tell you made up stories? Do you tell them stories? Any good ones you wanna share? Etc etc :P
Your Brother in Christ,
