Sometimes I see other kids and youth ministers and I wish I was the “fun whacky youth pastor” type. You know, that guy everyone remembers for doing that humilating dance during a VBS song or being the most wild in a high energy game or who has the craziest object lessons. I think I am more like the compassionate deep thinker with groan worthy puns. I don’t ever recall being called the most fun person anyone has ever met, but I have been told by people that they feel valued by me. If that ability to value people can be used to show an example of Jesus love for others, than I am doing my job right and leaning into the gifts God gave me for His glory. We shouldn’t compare ourselves to others. God made others for one thing and you for another. Lean into what God gave you and celebrate how He is using others too. God bless, Christopher Green What are some of the things God gave you to use for His glory? Comment below!
