While it seems a few recognized DAWs work fine with Windows 10, not all of them do. I have compiled a brief list of the status of the compatibility, or the incompatibility, of popular DAWs. Bottom line though: I don't recommend upgrading to any new system until you absolutely have to (I.E. hypothetically in ten years if the software you wish to use requires it as a minimum).
Cubase - Currently Incompatible. (That's a deal breaker for me). Pro Tools - An Avid employee has told me it is not yet "qualified" for Windows 10, however a Windows 10 user claims that they have been using it and have only come across one issue: it freezes when closing Pro Tools. When you restart the program, there are reportedly no errors however. Studio One - Compatible for any version above 2.6.5. FL Studio - Compatible. Audacity - No reputable source yet, but it seems compatible. Reaper - No reputable source yet, but it seems compatible, but not as effecient. Sony Acid - No reputable source yet, but it seems compatible. Ableton Live - Compatible. If I forgot any DAWs that you enjoy, sorry about that! But if you find out the compatibility of your DAW, feel free to post it in the comments below! :) So what about everyone out there? Are you upgrading to Windows 10? As for me, I am repeating two of my favourite expressions, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" and if one day I have to upgrade, "we will cross that bridge when we come to it."

In my younger days I used to be a tad embarrassed that I was a BarlowGirl fan. I was worried people would think "that's for girls" or they would think I simply liked their music because I had a crush on them (which to clarify, I did not). This wasn't helped by the fact the band Superchic[k] wrote the tribute song "Barlow Girls" with the line, All the boys in the band want a valentine from a Barlow Girl Ultimately I have stopped worrying what people might think, because The BarlowGirls (Alyssa, Becca, & Lauren) left an incredible legacy on the face of Christian music, and Christians and especially Christian girls (but guys like me too). The three sisters stood strongly for purity, in both their life, and their lyrics. As illustrated in their song, "Average Girl". No more dating. I’m just waiting. ‘Cause God is writing my love story. According to JesusFreakHideout.com, Lauren Barlow had this to say of the song, We wanted to write a song that was a personal testimony of our experience with dating – or I should say, not dating. Don't get it wrong though, the Barlows weren't saying they didn't want to get married one day, simply that they were leaving their love stories up to God. As said later in "Average Girl". Boys are bad that’s certainly not true The three sisters ended their time as a band in recent years, as they felt God was leading them to something new. Again, showing a beautiful example of godly women following God's leading, and not simply their own desires. As stated in their farewell letter to their fans: This has truly been an interesting year for the three of us. We have spent most of the last three years writing songs and searching for inspiration. As a part of that season, we’ve also been seeking direction and a new plan for what God has for our lives. In the midst of this journey our songwriting times turned less and less into songwriting and more and more into God speaking to us about His new plans for us. And the outcome is that God is gently leading us in a new direction. The three of us really feel, and all agree, that the Lord is leading us to make a huge change in our lives and we want you to be the first to know about it. Such a beautiful writing stating a love and trust in God! I truly respect these three women of God, and genuinely enjoy their lively and sober sweet music. Their style isn't for everyone (they were one of the only modern all-girl Christian rock groups) but they have some very heart felt songs that I think are worth sharing. So here are a few that I think anyone should be able to enjoy. This first song "I Need You to Love Me" was the cry of my heart to God this morning, and it was a pleasure slipping the CD Another Journal Entry (possibly their best album) into the car stereo this morning and singing along (which is what God used to inspire this post). I hope it blesses you as it does me! Its a song that reminds us of our need for God's love, and how He loves us instead of our flaws. This song, "Surrender" has come up so often in discussions I have with people about our callings, and our passions. God has brought this song to my heart time and again, reminding me that I need to love Him more than my dreams and desires, and to ultimately, surrender them to Him. (Please note that in the linked lyric video, their is some incorrect lyrics, it should read"My dreams are me" not "My dreams for me". While this is not the highest quality version of the next song "I Believe in Love" on YouTube, it has a very really honest explanation and message behind the song delivered by Alyssa Barlow herself. So I turn it over to Alyssa now, who explains this much better than I can: After you've heard Alyssa's talk, here's a clearer version of the song with lyrics included: I hope these songs touched you! And I pray I the Barlow sisters will be blessed in all their future endeavors! God bless them! How about you? Do you have any songs, artists or bands who God has used to reach you right when you needed it? Share them with me and the readers in the comments below! :) God bless, In Christ, Christopher Green
If you feel so led, please take a listen to Part 3 in the sermon series on "Being in Love with Jesus" that God has been delivering through me. This part is about how being in love with Jesus relates to the topic of the Holy Spirit's leading.

I'm a lover of Jesus, and he has called me to love and obey Him. One of the ways He has me do that, is by glorifying Him through media.
